A few of the participating restaurants, in the words of their owners and managers!
Colin, General Manager of Cafe Karibo, says,  “We are family owned and operated since 2001.  Our menu is a truly an eclectic and accommodating menu.  We offer healthy, fresh and unique salads as well as pub grub style splurges.  Our menu features not only lots of delicious vegetarian and vegan options, but local fish and hearty steaks as well.  Pair those options with great service in a funky but welcoming atmosphere and you have Cafe Karibo.”

And Melanie sums up LuLu’s in 4 delectable words:  “British Gastro Pub Grub!”

Al Waldis, Co-Owner at the Salty Pelican, for which 2013 marks their first appearance at Restaurant Week, offers, “The Salty Pelican has great food, a fun atmosphere, and is a great spot to have a drink and watch the sunset every night from our upstairs deck!”

Michael over at Sliders Seaside Grill gives us a bit of history with his description: “Sliders Seaside Grill is the neighborhood haunt known for (by locals and visitors alike) its amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean and its standout Jumbo Lump Crab cakes.  Sliders takes pride in being awarded the best restored, rustic building by Amelia Island’s preservation league. Its tavern-like, roadhouse appointments and veneer has been meticulously preserved from it’s original 1940’s architecture by George Stewart, the Owner of Sliders Seaside Grill.”
